IRTA (Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology) has recently transformed a conventional dairy cow farm to an avant-garde experimental farm with innovative sensors and technologies. The project is called “EVAM” (by its initials in Catalan), and started in 2017.

EVAM has the aim to benefit the dairy sector by improving health, genetics, feeding and management of the animals. The axes of the project are generation of new knowledge to solve technological challenges, transfer of results to improve the sector competitiveness, and dissemination to the consumer.
