'Calves & Youngstock'
Sensors can monitor losses due to reproduction, diseases that can affect the production of calves and determine increased economic efficiency of the farm. By using various sensors, the economic efficiency of dairy farms grow because it can applies a technology adapted to the concrete needs of animals, customized according to their age, physiological state and individual needs of each animal.
Sensors and sensor-based technologies in calves and young stock, as part of an precision-integrated management, allow at this moment: identifying each animal using automatic electronic identification (EID), feeding/grazing sensors-automatic calf feeding systems, detecting the first oestrus and monitoring the health status of the animal.
